TiviMate is one of the most popular IPTV players in the UK, and for good reason: it looks like a proper TV guide, it is quick to browse and it runs well on a Fire TV Stick. This short guide shows you how to set it up with your IPTV subscription, step by step.

What Is TiviMate?

TiviMate IPTV Player is an app for Android-based devices, including the Amazon Fire TV Stick, Android TV, Google TV and Nvidia Shield. It does not come with any channels. Instead, you add the playlist from your IPTV service and TiviMate turns it into a clean, familiar channel guide with live TV, catch-up and favourites.

If you watch on a Samsung or LG smart TV, TiviMate is not available. Our IBO Player setup guide covers those televisions instead.

How to Set Up TiviMate in Six Steps

1. Get your login details

Before you open the app, have your subscription details ready. If you are not a customer yet, request the free 24-hour trial on WhatsApp so you can test TiviMate with real channels before paying.

2. Install TiviMate

On Android TV, Google TV or Nvidia Shield, search for TiviMate IPTV Player in the Google Play Store and install it. On an Amazon Fire TV Stick, use the Downloader app to install it, then open it from Your Apps & Channels.

3. Add your playlist

Open TiviMate and choose Add playlist. Pick Xtream Codes if you received a server address, username and password, or M3U playlist if you received a single link. Type the details carefully: one wrong character is the most common reason a playlist will not load.

4. Load the TV guide (EPG)

Xtream Codes logins usually bring the TV guide in automatically. With an M3U link, add the EPG address you were given under Settings, then Playlists. Give the guide a minute to fill in the first time.

5. Organise your channels

Hide the groups you never watch and add favourites with a long press on the OK button. A shorter list makes TiviMate faster to browse and much easier for the rest of the household.

6. Start watching

Go back to the TV guide, choose a channel and press OK. If it plays smoothly, you are set. If it stutters, check the tips below before contacting support.

Tips for Smoother Viewing

  • Use an Ethernet cable or a strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal for 4K channels.
  • Restart your Fire TV Stick or box once a week to clear its memory.
  • Update the TV guide if programme times look wrong.
  • Close other apps running in the background before a big match.

Common Problems and Quick Fixes

The playlist will not load

Check the server address, username and password again, letter by letter. Make sure your subscription or trial is still active.

The TV guide is empty

Open Settings, then Playlists, and update the EPG. With an M3U link, confirm the EPG address has been added.

Channels buffer

Restart the router and the device first, then follow our IPTV buffering fixes. If the problem continues, message our 24/7 WhatsApp support with the channel name and time.
