IBO Player turns your Smart TV or compatible streaming device into a platform for watching live TV, movies and series. The app does not contain any channels. First install the player, then add the M3U link or Xtream codes provided with your subscription.
M3U is the documented playlist format for IBO Player. Use Xtream details only if your exact version supports them; otherwise ask your provider for an M3U link. You will need an internet connection, your remote and a phone or computer.

How to Set Up IBO Player
Labels may vary slightly between IBO Player versions, but the process stays the same: install, identify the device, add the account, refresh the app.
- 01
Install IBO Player
Search your Samsung, LG or Android TV app store for IBO Player. On Firestick, check the Amazon Appstore first. Availability varies by model and region; use the exact publisher's official instructions if it is not listed. Avoid random APK files.
- 02
Open the account screen
Launch the app and note the Device ID / MAC address and device key. Keep this screen open so you can compare the details. These are the app's identifiers, not necessarily your TV's network MAC address.
- 03
Open the management website
On a phone or computer, open the playlist management page shown inside the app. Check the address before entering your Device ID and device key, exactly as displayed.
- 04
Add your subscription
Add your provider's M3U playlist URL. If your exact player version offers Xtream codes, enter the server URL, username and password instead. Give the playlist an easy name, save it and keep your login details safe.
- 05
Refresh the TV
Close and reopen IBO Player. Wait for the playlist and electronic programme guide (EPG) to finish loading before browsing channels. Test a channel, then try the guide and on-demand library.
Choose your device

Samsung Smart TV
- Open Apps from the Smart Hub and search for the exact IBO Player app.
- Check compatibility with your TV model and UK store region before buying a licence.
- Launch the app and copy the Device ID / MAC address and key from its account screen.
- Manage the playlist from a phone or computer, then reopen the TV app.
Important: IBO Player does not provide any content. You need your own subscription from a provider authorised to distribute it. IBO Player and IBO Player Pro may use different management websites and features.
Troubleshooting your setup
Playlist not loading
Check the URL, active subscription and internet connection, save again, then restart the app.
Wrong MAC address / device key
Use the identifiers displayed inside this player, and check every character before saving.
App asks to activate
Check the player's licence or trial status. App activation is separate from your subscription.
Buffering or freezing
Try Ethernet, pause other downloads and test another channel before asking your provider to check the stream.
EPG not showing
Allow the guide to finish loading and confirm your provider supplies working EPG data.
